George B. Wasyliw

age 59, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2023. George is survived by his loving wife of almost 22 years, Pamela; three daughters, Nicole, Julie, and Abigael; brothers, Jerry and Eugene (Rita); brother-in-law, Chuck (Elizabeth) Eizenga, and father-in-law, Charles R. (late, Arlene) Eizenga. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Olena Wasyliw.

George was a member of St. Josapahat Ukrainian Catholic Church since 1973. He was employed with Arrow Chevrolet and Christianson Chevrolet before working as a fleet mechanic with NIPSCO. He enjoyed traveling, camping, riding motorcycles and had a passion for muscle cars.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN with a Panahida service at 6:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 11, DIRECTLY at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 8624 White Oak Ave, Munster, IN 46321 at 9:30 AM with Fr. Volodymyr Kushnir officiating. George will lie in state at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service. Services conclude at the church. Burial private.
