Glenna F. Goldasic (nee Day)

age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 8, 2018.   Glenna is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Matthew "Sonny"; children, Matthew (Louise) Goldasic of Highland, David Goldasic of Schererville, Michele Goldasic of Schererville; brothers, John (late Judy) Fultz and Robert (Darlene) Fultz; sister in law Florence Goldasich; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; countless cousins;dear friends, especially G randma Bridegroom,Shirley Camacho, Karen Matthews and Rene Sterbenc. Glenna is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Paul Goldasic.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (corner of Main St. and Kennedy Ave.) from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 4:30 PM prayer service. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1 W. Wilhelm St., Schererville, IN. with Rev. Gregory Bim-Merle officiating.  Prayers will start on Wednesday at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home at 10:00 AM and services will conclude at the church with Cremation to follow.

Glenna's love for baking could be seen at holidays and birthdays. Her nut roll was picture perfect when it came out of the oven. Most of the time she made a dessert just for the heck of it.

Glenna  did a lot of traveling. Many summers spent in Litchfield IL on Lake Lou Yaeger with their boat. When her daughter Michele became a travel nurse she visited all the cities she lived in spending alot of time in Arizona.

Family and friends meant everything to her always making sure they were taken care of first. The love for her children was unwavering.  Her faith and devotion to God was relentless. Many times when we were having a bad day she would say "Talk to God.He will get you through". What got us through any problems was her. Always available to us no matter what. Glenna was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
