Gonzalo R. Maldonado Sr.

age 75, of Hammond, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Teresa Maldonado (nee, Marin); daughters, Elba Alejandra (Juan Manuel) Medina and Paty Maldonado; son, Gonzalo (Juana) Maldonado Jr.; precious grandchildren, Diego and Julian Medina and Emilia Maldonado; many sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Preceded by his parents, Gonzalo and Maria Luisa Maldonado; brothers, sister and many dear friends.

Gonzalo retired from Inland Steel after 32 years of service. He enjoyed music and reading books. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed and cherished.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond, IN, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:15 PM with Rev. Eduardo Malagon officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home.
