Harry Wolfgang Claussen
age 63, of Schererville, IN, passed away Thursday July 16, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl H. Claussen and Edeltraut Claussen, Harry was a dedicated husband and father, and is survived by his by wife of 32 years, Louise Claussen (nee Loker), sons Stephen (Gwen) Claussen, David (Alex Robles) Claussen, Alexander (Brittany) Claussen and honorary daughter Susan Broniarczyk (nee Loker) with her husband Marty; grandchildren, Olivia and Gage Claussen, and expecting 3rd grandchild in December. Also surviving Harry are his brother Peter (Ina) Claussen, brothers-in-law John (Merri) Loker, Joseph (Andrea) Loker Sr. and sisters-in-law Cathy (Greg) Lindsey, Barb Loker, Julie Ford, Patricia Loker and Bridget Loker as well as. Harry will be dearly missed by his two loving aunts Kate Schmidt and Ursula Mueller, both of Germany, in addition to numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and cousins and many close, extraordinary long-time friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 with Rev. Rhonda Schienle officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service.
He was born July 22, 1951 and raised in Hammond. He graduated from Hammond High School in 1969 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1977. Harry was a longtime member of St. Michael's music ministry in Schererville until 2012 and worked for Aramark Uniforms in Merrillville until 2013. He was a proud musician and loved listening to and playing jazz music. When the weather permitted, you could often find Harry out playing disc golf with family and friends.
