Helen Sudicky (nee Korba)
Helen Sudicky (nee Korba), age 84, of Munster, IN, originally of Hammond, IN, was called to Heaven on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, and is reunited with her beloved husband, George. Helen will also be welcomed by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and many other dear friends and family members. Love emanated from Helen, and her love was given freely, deeply and in abundance. She, in turn, was loved by so many who were touched by her. One of her most endearing qualities was her ability to see the humor in everyday life. There were no strangers to Helen, as she embraced every single person she encountered as a friend. Helen always spent time doing for others, and her many works of charity included the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Cursillo Movement, which she and her husband George were involved in for over forty years. Helen was very active in the Church, both St. John Bosco and St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. She enjoyed pilgrimages to Mount St. Macrina in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and Rome, Italy. She loved and lived life to the fullest.
She leaves behind her six loving children; Mark (Patty) Sudicky, Greg (Jennifer Sudlak) Sudicky, Nicole (Kevin) Eagan, Mary Sudicky, Julia (Jim) Sweeney, Christine (Tony) Ferrini; ten grandchildren, Emily (Jerrett), Margaret, Nathan, Garrett, Paige, Katie, Nicholas, Sage, Sierra, Sedona; one great-grandchild, Charlotte; and two brothers, Michael (late Peggy) Korba, and Msgr. Frank Korba.
