Irene Alice Krupa

Age 94 passed away peacefully at her home on May 29, 2020 in Georgetown, Texas. She was born in Calumet City, IL to Kasmir and Josephine Gregory.  Along with her brother Richard Gregory.

Irene was survived by her six grateful children Anita Koch (Thomas), Michael (Leslie), Mark (Mina), Thomas (Amy) and Paul (Kay); her 7 wonderful grandchildren; Joseph (Ariel), James (Emylee), Christopher, Daniel, Amanda (Matt), Lily, Adam; precious Great Grandson ( Matt Jr.) and Great Granddaughter Evie. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank J Krupa, Son James, Grandson Steven, Parents, and Brother.

Irene had quite a journey. She grew up in Roseland, raised her children in Riverdale, retired with Frank to her paradise Sarasota, and spent her last years in Texas.  Irene embodied the determination of her mother Josephine and the playfulness of her father Kasmir. She was wonderful, loving and kindhearted. She was all about family and proud of her Polish heritage.  Irene will be greatly missed the world won't be the same without her humor but even more welcome in heaven. Good night Irene!

A private family funeral mass will be held at Carmelite Fathers. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to Kindred Hospice at 800 Enterprise Dr. #111 Oakbrook, IL 60523.
