James " Jim" Boughamer

Age 73, of Highland, formerly of Hammond, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

He is survived by his devoted brother, Paul (Barbara) Boughamer, and many beloved family members Ken (Carol) Clark; Jennifer Clark,  John (Alice) Clark, Bobby Clark, Danielle and Dan Leglar, Donna and Mark Gland, Paula and Rick Davis, and Marilyn (Dick) Fath.

A proud graduate of Morton High School, Class of 1969, and Purdue University, Class of 1973, Jim was a lifelong Boilermaker and a longtime member of the John Purdue Club. He dedicated over 44 years managing a movie theater, where his kindness, humor, and love for film touched the lives of countless patrons and friends.

Jim was an avid sports fan, faithfully cheering for his favorite teams – Purdue, the Green Bay Packers, and the Atlanta Braves. His enthusiasm and wit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solan – Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, Indiana. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, November 14, 202, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Jim will be truly missed and remembered for the love he shared with all who knew him.
