JAMES M. NEARY

Age 71, of Highland, passed away Thursday May 29, 2014. Loving Husband of Patricia, Father of: Jamie Neary, Mark (Gloria) Neary, Jennifer (Armando) Jimenez, Jonathan (Shari Faust) Irk, Ryan (Carrie) Neary; Grandchildren: Samantha, Alyssa, Mark Jr., Alexis, Joshua, Jamie, Jordan, Niko and Cody; Sister Sheila (Don) Polito, Sister-in-law Linda Neary; many Nieces and Nephews; Canine Buddies: Angus, Zoey and Stryker. Preceded by his parents Jim and Josephine and brother Jack.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday June 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. James the Less Catholic Church 9640 Kennedy Ave Highland with Fr. Keith Virus officiating. James will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Cemetery Schererville. Friends may visit with the family on Monday June 2, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville. Wake service 4:00 PM.

James was an East Chicago Police Officer for 21 years, followed by positions in Law Enforcement and Security eventually retiring as a Bailiff of Lake County Superior Court under Judge Julie Cantrell. He proudly served his country in US Army and was a dedicated member AML Post #369, a member of FOP Lodge #59, Retired FOP Lodge #1 and Goodfellows. He was an avid White Sox and Green Bay Packers fan.
