James W. Wheeler

age 36, of Hammond, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6, 2022. James is survived by loving sisters, Patricia Pewitt, Billie Ratkovich, Sherry Tuscuson and Mary Elizabeth McGregor; brothers, Fred Pewitt and Michael Wheeler; grandma, Phyllis DeFord; many precious nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Demetria Beaulieu. Preceded by his dear mother, Rhonda F. Wheeler; father, William B. Wheeler; sister, Jennifer (Michael) Britton; brother, Marvin E. Pewitt; and nephew, Anthony L. Aguilera.

James was a life long resident of Northwest Indiana. He was born October 20, 1985. James was a fun loving and caring brother who always made everyone laugh. He enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews and visiting with family and his friends. James enjoyed drawing and playing cards. He will be missed dearly and he was loved so very much more then he would have ever known.

A Memorial Gathering Celebrating James' Life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375. In lieu of flowers, donations to family would be appreciated.
