JANE L. GADZALA
age 92, of Highland, formerly East Chicago, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015. Jane is survived by her children: Philip (Susan) Gadzala, Lawrence (Kara) Gadzala and Marilyn (late William) Fett; grandchildren: Jeffrey and Jillian Gadzala, Jana (fiancé Robb Barbauld) Fett and Alexa (Richard) Fisher; sister Evelyn (late Richard) Rucinski; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Casimir and sister Marcella (late John) Biesczat.

Jane was a former member of St. John Cartius Catholic Church and American Legion Post 369 Women's Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Polish National Alliance and the Polish Women's Alliance. Jane loved to bake; especially Easter Lamb cakes and book cakes. She even created her own wedding cake. Jane was a loving mother and adoring grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:30 AM DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 3025 Highway Ave Highland with Fr. Edward Moszur officiating. Jane will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until time of mass. At rest Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville. Prayer service 3:30 PM.
