Jean D. Kosiara (nee Massei)

Age 91, of Northwest, IN, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, December 13, 2024. She is survived by her loving daughters, Delia Lara and Lisa (Barry) Thomas; precious grandchildren: Nicolas (Amy) Kasbohm, Amber (Robert) LaFayette, Maximillian (Laura) Thomas, Benjamin Thomas, and Samuel Thomas; great-grandchildren: Robert Nolan LaFayette, Hudson Kasbohm, Reid LaFayette, Katelyn Kasbohm, and Elijah Kasbohm; and sister-in-law, Sara (late, Richard) Massei. Preceded in death by her husband, John Kosiara; and son, Daniel Kosiara.

Jean was a  devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and true friend. She cherished her family deeply, while excelling in a sales career late in life.  Known for being an amazing cook, caretaker  and providing comfort to so many, Jean's captivating smile extended warmth and generosity to all she met.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, DIRECTLY at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave, Highland, IN 46322, with Fr. Gregory Bim-Merle officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass.
