Jeanne-Maria Michalski (nee King)

age 90, of Hammond, IN, formerly of Chicago and Bolingbrook, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Jeanne-Maria is survived by her children: Gloria Michalski, Harold "Bud" (Kelly Nowakowski) Michalski, Jr., Gayle Michalski, Gwenn (late Edward, Sr.) Fox, Mary (late Michael) Michalski-Babbitt, Theresa Klinsky, Juanita (William) Gecas; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brother Charles (late Rosemary) King; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by the loving father of her children Harold Michalski, Sr.; son Daniel (still living Penny) Michalski; sister Yvonne Mahon, and brother Albert (still living Patricia) King.

Jeanne-Maria raised 8 children and worked while she went to school to become a CPA. She started her professional career in Dolton and worked for non-profit agencies. Jeanne-Maria's career, along with the environment, were very important to her. She was a loving mother and "nana" that will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 3, DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond IN with Rev. Jeffrey D. Burton officiating. Jeanne-Maria will lie-in-state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Mask and social distancing recommended.
