Jennifer Leigh Britton

age 46, of Whiting, IN, passed away and went to heaven on October 26, 2018 after a short unexpected illness at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana. She was born on January 11, 1972 to Rhonda (Kelly) Wheeler. She was married to Michael J. Britton on January 18, 1996. Jennifer loved her husband for 22 years, her children and her grandchildren so very much. They were her world and her heart. She loved reading horror books by Stephen King as well as watching scary movies with all her family. "Very Fun Times." That tradition went on to her children and her siblings. Jennifer was bold and protective of all that she loved and there was laughter often.

She will be missed like no other. The void that we all have will hopefully be eventually filled with memories and knowing she is at peace with God and herself.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael John Britton; mother, Rhonda F. Wheeler; children, Katie (Jose) Pewitt, Emily Britton, Darian (Alex) Morales, Jada ((Dylan) Shaw and Michael Britton; grandchildren, Nathan, Alyssa, Mya, Mariah, Zayden and Zoey; siblings, Patricia Pewitt, Fred Pewitt, Billie (Nick) Ratkovich, Sherry (John) James Wheeler, Michael Wheeler and Elizabeth (Mark) McGregor.  Jennifer is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin (still living, Sherry) Pewitt.

A Memorial Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN (Corner of Main & Kennedy) from 11:00 AM – 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
