Jennifer Aileen Ferrara (nee Sons)

Born on November 25, 1974, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, David Ferrara; dearest children, Nick and Meagan Ferrara; loving parents, Michael and Karen Sons; sister, Susan (Bob) Severa; in-laws, Philip and In Tok Ferrara; brothers-in-law, Phillip Ferrara (Andrea) and Joseph Ferrara (Sherry); dear nieces and nephews, Jordan Ferrara, Joie Ferrara, Vincent Ferrara, Brendan Severa, Dominic Ferrara, and Hayden Severa; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jennifer attended Highland High School and enjoyed playing the flute in the marching band, receiving the Semper Fi Award for Outstanding Achievement. After graduating in 1993, she went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from IPFW and then her Master's Degree at Purdue University. She enjoyed her work at Innovations in Learning. She loved music and her friends dearly. Jennifer was a dedicated and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to many who will cherish her memory.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:30 PM service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
