Jennifer Marie Hemphill (née Shondel), born August 20, 1969, in Hammond, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2026, following a brief and sudden illness. 

Jennifer is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ronald Hemphill; her sister, Laura Shondel (David) Holzhauer; her sister-in-law, Yvonne Sharp; her brothers-in-law, Charlie Hemphill and Brian Hemphill; and her much-beloved nephews, Gregory Holzhauer, Andrew Hemphill, David Bisbee, and Jeff Bisbee. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. 

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Donna Shondel.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Solan – Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, Indiana, with a Celebration of Life Celebrated at 12:00 PM. Services conclude at the Funeral Home.

Jennifer’s sudden passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
