Jerry Sue Jechenthal, age 86, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Hanson, KY, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 24, 2022. She is survived by her loving children: Donna Dorris, Terry Dorris, Janis (Joseph) Uldrych, and Joseph Jechenthal III; precious grandchildren: Julie (Robert) Bruce, Joseph S. (Jamie) Uldrych, Jr., Jeffrey (Dana) Uldrych, and Jason P. (Melissa) Uldrych; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; two sisters: Rhonda (Jerry) Denis and Lisa (Tony) Lowe; and sister-in-law Donna Curneal. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph A. Jechenthal Jr., who was the love of her life for 32 years; and several siblings.

Jerry was a 1953 graduate and Valedictorian of Madisonville Kentucky High School. She worked in management for over 40 years at AT&T. Jerry was a phenomenal cook and everyone enjoyed her southern dishes. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed decorating. Jerry will be remembered for her immense love and kindness.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, Indiana on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at 6:45 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
