Joan Ida Marker

Age 81 of Griffith, IN passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019. Joan is survived by her five children, Jim (Beth) Marker, Brett Marker, Lee (Deborah) Marker, Christine Marker, and Carol Witvoet; ten grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Luke, Brandon, Emily, Justin, Brad, Hollie, and Isabella; one great-grandchild Luke Jr.; sister-in-law Judy Eppley; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Rosie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Carol Eppley, brother Carl, and grandson Bruce.

Joan retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and play sports. She supported many Christian ministries.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN where she will be laid to rest. Pastor William Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of the Calumet Area would be appreciated.
