Joan P. Miranda (nee Pieczynski)

age 75, of Chicago, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015. She was a loving mother to 3 children, Antoinette(late Santiago)Salas, Jose A.(Deborah)Miranda, George(Elaine)Miranda; grandmother to 3 grandchildren, Daniel(Tiffany)Miranda, Deana(Steven)Munoz, Amanda Miranda; loving great grandmother to 3 great grandchildren Charles, Victoria and Emilio; 1 Brother Jerome(Bernadette)Pieczynski; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan is preceded in death by her sister Patricia(Frank)Myros.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John J. Siekierski officiating. Prayers will start on Tuesday morning at 8:45 am at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN (corner Main & Kennedy). Joan will be laid to rest directly after the service at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 2:00 till 8:00 pm. with a 2:00 pm prayer service.

Joan was a long time member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, in East Chicago. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
