Joann Barsich (nee Ray)

Age 75, of Schererville, IN, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Joann is survived by her beloved husband of almost 53 years, Mark; daughter, Tammy (Robert) Barsich-Rangel; son, Christopher (Amy) Barsich; precious granddaughters, Olivia and Mia Barsich; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Tanya Ray; brother, Robert Ray; and granddaughter, Meghan Rae Barsich.

Joann's main focus in life was her family, she was a doting wife and mother. She loved her church and adored cookbooks. She will affectionately be remembered as "NeNe" to all of the children.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. Panahida 7:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 12, at the funeral home, with Fr. Lev Holowaty officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
