Joe G. Trevino
Joe G. Trevino, age 66, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Illinois, was called by the Lord on the Catholic Celebration of St. Joseph's Day, Thursday, March 19, 2020. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Janet (nee Klawitter); daughters, Liana (Lysle) Bower and Jill (Ken) Burgdorf; seven grandchildren, Briana, Boston Braylon and Brooklyn Bower; Haley, Jackson and Jocelyn Burgdorf; siblings, Blanca (late, Carl) Logston, Henry (Michelle) Trevino; Sam (Sharon) Trevino, Ed (Angelique) Trevino, Pat Mattes, Arthur Trevino (Arnold), Becky Trevino (Jean), Daniel (Tracy) Trevino and Michelle Gubillee; in-laws, Nancy Klawitter, Nancy (late, Wayne) Klawitter, Greg (Linda) Klawitter, Jim (Steffanie) Klawitter, Tony Klawitter and John (Nelia) Klawitter; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Guadalupe Trevino; and sister, Sylvia (late, Wolfgang) Muller.
Joe was born in Arkansas and grew up in Lansing, Illinois. Joe retired from Powder Processing & Technology in Valparaiso. He also managed at many other jobs. He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Bears fan and loved sports cars, especially the Ford Mustang. Joe loved his flowers and gardening. He also enjoyed old movies. Joe was a DJ for his love of music. He celebrated many marriages as the couples began their journey in life together. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be dearly missed by all who knew him as a giving and hardworking soul.
A limited Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. A private burial will take place at Chapel Lawn in Schererville, IN. Donations to the family are welcome to provide to charities that are in need during this difficult time in the world.
*A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
