Joel T. Duncan

Age 61, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.  Joel is survived by his loving wife of almost 15 years, Debbie (nee Hall), children: Bill (Cheryl) Jackomis, Jason (Tiffany) Duncan, Tabitha Duncan, and Aaron (Lea Ann) Duncan and spouse; brothers, sisters, and many grandchildren and in-laws.  Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alberta Duncan; and daughter, Krissy Jackomis.

Joel was a proud Navy Veteran.  He went on to become an over the road truck driver for 20+ years. Joel never met a stranger. He loved people and the feeling was mutual, he always had a great story or joke to tell.  He appreciated hats, coffee, and was thrilled to put up his Christmas lights every year. He enjoyed helping his wife Debbie in the garden. Joel was also an avid fan of the Razorbacks and Saints.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. Services conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
