JOHN W. HARTMAN
age 65, of Hammond, passed away Friday October 24, 2014. John is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Sandra; son Marcus; grandsons Matthew and Ace; many nieces, nephews, cousins; numerous in-laws and friends; best friends: Richard Schulpe, Emery Orto and Mac Gallegos. Preceded in death by his parents William Hartman and Pansy Ritchie, infant son Matthew Todd Hartman and sister Rose Ann Xidis.
John worked for Arcelor Mittal with 46 years of service. Win or lose, John was a true Chicago Bears fan. John was a passionate family man, an adoring grandfather and was always there to help others. He will be dearly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Pastor Ray Tucker officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Cemetery Schererville. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday October 28, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in John's honor may be made to the Tino Fulimeni scholarship fund or to the family.
