John Mrjenovich 'Dusan, "Dushie"'
Age 90, of Dyer, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016. John was born to Sarah and Jovo Mrjenovich on August 17, 1925 in Chicago. John loyally served his country during WWII in the Army 1st Infantry Division, The Big Red One. After his service John ran Mrjenovich Shell for over 30 years. He was also a Burnham Boy Scout Leader, a Little League Manager and school board member.

John is beloved and dearly missed by his wife of 67 years Marcella; children: Ron (Marilou), Glenn (Joanne), late Wayne (Jenny), John and Doreen (Derrel) Peterson; sister Mary (late Edwin) Burke; granddaughter Rori (Tom) McDougal and their children: Mackenzie, Madyson and Matthew; grandson Ronald Jr. (Michelle); granddaughter Mary Denise (late Matthew) Cienkus and her children: Jay, Marion and Jack; granddaughters: Tammi, Tara, Nicole, Katrina, Rachel, Jamie (Ryan Streit) and their daughter Cella; grandsons: Keith, Jack, Andrew, Michael, Thomas and Jay; numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Amelia, George (Rose), Minnie, Danica, Peter and Robert (Joyce).

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 12-5 pm at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. Pomen service 4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church 1500 186th St Lansing, IL. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville. In lieu of flowers donations in John's honor may be made to St. Michael Serbian Orthodox Church.
