John E. Tomaszewski

age 53, of Calumet City, IL, formerly of Pullman, Chicago, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. John is survived by his loving mother Sharon A. Piejko; father Henry Kolanski; two children Johnny and Natalie; siblings Jeff Piejko and Jackie Piejko; aunt Terry Lavezzi; cousin Kaitlyn; mother of his children Annmarie; and many friends. Preceded in death by his step-father Walter J. Piejko.

John was a 1986 graduate of Morgan Park High School. He worked for Method, Inc. in Chicago. John was an avid Bears fan and enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11 at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will then be held at 11:00 AM  at Jesus Shepherd of Souls (St. Andrew Worship Site), 768 Lincoln Ave, Calumet City, IL 60409 with Rev. Luis Valerio officiating.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois. Masks must be worn for funeral services.
