Jose "Joe" Briseno

Age 97, of Highland, IN, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018.  He is survived by his loving daughters, Gloria B. White of Arizona; Diane (Kim) Mazur-Karlen of Munster; and Olga Briseno of Highland.  Five Grandchildren, Philip (Traci) and Michael (Cora) Mazur; and Nina, Maya, and Laurissa Briseno Portillo.  Five Great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Kailey, Collin, and Allison: great great grandson, Colt.  Inlaws; Carolina Palacios and Alonzo (Rosa) Solis.  Joe is preceded in death by his dear wife, Virgina; brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 27, 10:30 a.m. Directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN. with Rev. Edward Moszure officiating.  Joe will be laid to rest directly after the service at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday morning at the church from 9:30a.m. until time of service. Solan Pruzin Funeral Home in Schererville, IN entrusted with arrangements.

Joe retired from Inland Steel after 37 years of service. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Calumet Area, www.hospicecalumet.org or charity of your choice.
