JOSE MADRIGAL "EL MERO MERO"

age 92, of Hammond, passed away Saturday June 14, 2014. Jose is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Leonila; children: Alvaro (Silvia), Enrique "Rick" (Linda), Efrain (Gricela), Jose (Rosa), Alejandro (Ofelia) Madrigal, Silvia (Enrique) Alvarado & Elsa (Lou) Melgarejo; 23 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, two sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandson Adrian Madrigal, granddaughter Angel Melgarejo, three brothers and two sisters.

Jose was a passionate family man and loved his dear family with all of his heart. He enjoyed talking politics and was an avid sports fan, especially wrestling. Jose will be dearly missed.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday June 17, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville. Prayers will be said at 7:30 PM. Cremation at Solan Pruzin to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Jose's honor may be made to Autism Speaks.
