Joseph A. Jechenthal Jr.

Age 89, of Schererville, IN passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017.  He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jerry (nee Curneal); children, Janis (Joseph) Uldrych, Charline Jackson; Joseph A. Jechenthal III, Donna and Terry Dorris and grandchildren, Julie (Robert) Bruce, Joseph Jr. (Jamie) Uldrych, Jeff (Dana) Uldrych, and Jason (Melissa) Uldrych; and 13 great grandchildren. Joseph is preceded in death by his first wife, Loraine Jechenthal, (nee Machaj).

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 7 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (corner of Main and Kennedy) with Dc. Raymond Helfen officiating.  Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4 till 8 PM. Joseph will be Honorably laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, in Elwood, IL at a later date.

Joseph was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.  He served at Camp Pendleton from 1947 to 1950.  Joe loved golfing, fishing, bowling, and gardening, but he passionately loved his family and will be deeply missed.
