Joseph Manual Fernandez

age 78, of Munster, formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Nancy Kelley-Fernandez; daughter, Kelley (Nick Prendergast) Fernandez; grandson, Ethan Prendergast. Preceded by his parents, Joe and Carmen Fernandez.

Joseph was a 1965 graduate of Merrillville High School and then attended Vincennes College. He served as a Green Beret in the Army. Joseph primarily worked at Christensons Chevrolet in Highland, he also worked as a stockbroker. He loved dealing in stocks and bonds and following politics. He also was an avid golfer and golf fan, Joseph most of all enjoyed spending time with family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from  10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375.
