Joseph Paul Perez

Joseph P. Perez, age 71, of Hammond, was called by the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Joseph is survived by his loving children Joseph Paul Perez II (Marissa) and Jennifer (Kory) Linder. His wife Penny Perez; sisters, Jackie (Judd) Wells, Tina (Rueben) Trevino, Lisa (Steve Bloomer) Beecher; brother Paul Perez; friends Kathy and Arron Sporer; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph A. Perez and Josephine Perez (nee Anguiano); and his sister Gail J. Burns.

Joseph proudly worked as a mechanic for 18 years at Cleveland-Cliffs, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN, with a Prayer Service at 5:30 PM with Father Jeff Burton officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date.
