Joyce Leouses (nee Pondo)

age 73, of Hammond, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Joyce is survived by her three daughters: Christina (Jim) Leouses and Anna (James) Mahan; son: John (Sharon) Leouses; ten grandchildren: Jamie, Jessica, Kirsten, Ashley, Joshua, Tiffany, Jenna, George, Theresa, and Meghan; two great-grandchildren: Lisa and Jackson; sisters: Barbara (Gene) Korba and Cindy (Craig) Neville; brother: Rev. Stanley Pondo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded by her husband: George J. Leouses and daughter: Lisa M. Trevino; parents: Stanley and Lillian Pondo; and brothers Ken and Ron Pondo.

Joyce was a loving grandmother, mother, wife, sister.  Her life was dedicated to her family.  She loved to write poems and even had one published many years ago.  Her grandchildren are what kept her going over the years.  She liked to sew.  She enjoyed listening to country music.  She was a medical records clerk for many years and worked for Methodist Hospital & St. Margret Hospital over the years.  She will be missed by many.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 10:00AM to 12:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond, IN. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM with Rev. Stanley Pondo officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.
