Juan J. Flores Sr. "John"

Age 63, of St. John, Indiana, the Lord called him home on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Juan is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Juanita Flores (Martinez); dearest children, Leena Flores, Juan J. (Christina) Flores Jr., Jesse Flores and Sabrina Flores; precious grandchildren, Salvador, Anthony, Celeste, Saleena, Sergio, Priscilla, Gabriela, Juliana, Juan Flores III, Amariyana, Eric, Nevaeh, Destiny, Dezmond, Darryl, Sergio; siblings, Maria Villareal, Israel Flores, and Janie Martinez. Preceded in death by his parents, Saragoza and Julio Flores; and siblings, Salvador Flores, Julio Flores, and Celia Flores.

John was born in Laredo, Texas before moving to Chicago, Illinois.  He was a graduate of Bowen High School in Illinois. He retired after 30 years of working for Andrew Corp, later named, Commscope John was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago Bears. He was loved by many. The most important thing to him was his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. John was always there for anyone who needed him, especially his children.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN 46375 from 4:00-8:00PM. A Funeral Service Celebrating John's Life will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 directly at The Edge Church, 7870 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lonnie Jarvis officiating. Viewing on Wednesday morning at church from 10:30 AM till time of service. Burial at Memory Lane Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN.
