JUAN "JOHNNY" RODRIGUEZ

Juan "Johnny" Rodriguez age 72, of Hammond, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2017. Juan is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Milly; children: Timothy Rodriguez, Tammy (Edwin) Festerling, Tanya Rodriguez (fiance Rick McFadden) and Tiffany (David) Fisher; two brothers, Robert and Marcus and three sisters, Grace (Tony) Geraro, Beatrice "Cookie" Rodriguez, and Becky (Joe) Flores; mother-in-law Anne Taylor, sisters-in-law Kathleen (Donald) Clark, Bessie Keeton; brother-in-law Denzel Taylor; stepchildren: Mary Jo (Chris) Melder and Tom (Isabel) Bair; 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins friends and coworkers. Preceded in death by parents Isabela and Roberto; his infant daughter Tina; sisters Esther and Irma; and stepdaughter Angela Bair.

Juan was born in Laredo and raised in Corpus Christi, TX later moving to Indiana. He was employed for many years by American Steel Foundries. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. A loving husband, father, grandfather, he had a generous heart and was always ready to help those in need.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM 3:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond, IN. A Mass will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. Juan will lie in repose at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until time of mass and will be laid to rest Monday, January 31, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. An afternoon luncheon will be held directly afterward at Juan's daughter Tammy's house in Manhattan, IL. Directions will be provided for Cemetery and Luncheon locations.
