Juan J. "Joe" Trevino age 67, of Hammond, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Juan is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Januchowski-Trevino; son, Joe (Marlene) Trevino, Jr.; sisters, Rachel (David) Gutierrez and Beatriz "Chachi" (late, Rogelio) Ayala; brothers, Simon (late, Joanne) Trevino and Roy (Celinda)Trevino; brother-in-law, Joe (Barbara) Januchowski; Godchildren: Amanda Torres, Valen Trevino, and Milan Perez; beloved fur-baby, Lila; precious parrot, Cosmo; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother and father, Rita and Simon Trevino; brothers: Johnny Trevino, Ricky Trevino, Arturo (Turi) Trevino, and Pablo Trevino; sister, Rosa Rodriguez; and granddaughter, Jessica Marie Trevino.

Juan worked for Doug and Steve Construction and was a member of the Laborers' Local 81. He was also a member of St. John Bosco Church. He was a diehard Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed music. Juan also appreciated spending time in his garden, especially planting hot peppers and gifting them to those who appreciated them. He adored his sweet puppy, Lila and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. A Service Celebrating Juan's Life will be held at 7:00 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
