JUANITA L. GARGANO nee REISCHEL

age 77, of Highland, passed away Friday July 4, 2014. Juanita is survived bu her loving husband of 60 years Leroy; children: Patricia (Daniel) Govert, Deborah (Robert) McKnight, Kathleen (Dean) Duncan, Barbara (Timothy) Messmann, Sharon (Timothy) Vessell, Edward (Michael Hollar) Gargano, Kenneth (Richard Bonn) Gargano; 13 grandchildren; 25+ great grandchildren; brother Richard (Vicki) Clemens; brothers in law Edward Gargano and Ralph (Gwen) Gargano; sister in law Elinor Munda; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her mother Rosamund Ramsey, brothers: David and Edward Clemens, step father Alfred Clemens.

Juanita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a founding member of St. James the Less Parish. Juanita enjoyed reading, travel and was an avid antique collector, especially dolls. She loved to go shopping and spend time with her dear husband over lunch. Juanita always had a smile and a kind word. She loved and was accepting of all. A special thanks to the staff at Riley House and to family and friends for all of their love and support.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 beginning with 9:30 AM prayers at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville for a 10:00 AM Mass at St. James the Less Church 9640 Kennedy Ave with Fr. Keith Virus officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Cemetery Schererville. Friends may visit with the family on Monday July 7, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Donations in her honor may be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area and/or American Cancer Society.
