Judith “Judy” Collins (nee Lipski)

age 68, of Merrillville, Indiana, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Judy is survived by her loving children, Jack Lipski, Victoria (Rudolph) Gonzalez, Isobel Collins, and Faith Collins; husband, Scott Collins; sisters, Barbara (late, Red) Gross, Joann (late, Dennis) Graves; sister-in-law, Nancy (Fred) Berg, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her precious pets, who brought her great comfort and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Chester Lipski and Dorothy Lipski (nee Vasko); sister, Patricia (still living, John) Pruzin; brothers, Thomas and Jeffrey Lipski; and beloved nephew, Bart Pruzin.

Judy was a graduate of Merrillville High School, and furthered her education by attending Purdue University. She dedicated many years as a daycare attendant, where her nurturing spirit and genuine love for children touched the lives of countless families.

Judy’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved attending church and lived each day with compassion, generosity and a servants heart. She was a deeply faithful and giving person who always put the needs of others before her own. Her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2026, DIRECTLY at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs North Campus Catholic Church, 801 W. 73rd ave, Merrillville, IN 46410. Judy will have a private Green Burial to follow afterwards at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
