Judith "Judy"  L. Lecyk (nee Levin)

Age 69, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Jerome Levin and Dorothy (Epstein) Levin.

Judith was married to her beloved husband, Mark Lecyk, for 44 wonderful years. Together they built a life filled with love, commitment, and unwavering devotion. She is survived by her cherished sons, Spencer (Selena) Lecyk and Jerome Lecyk; her adored granddaughter, Callie Lecyk; brother, Gary (Barbara) Levin; sister, Sharon (Rueben) Blumberg; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Judith also leaves behind their precious dog, Poppy, a beautiful 5-year-old Golden Retriever.

A 1974 graduate of William A. Wirt High School, Judith went on to attend nursing school at Indiana University Northwest. She dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse at Community Hospital, where her compassion and gentle spirit touched countless lives. Judith took great pride in caring for the elderly and approached her work with kindness and heart.

Judith was an artist at her core and loved to paint. She enjoyed being part of two book clubs, watching movies, and spending time with the dogs she loved throughout her life. She was an avid Beatles listener, and later in life developed a fondness for the music of Willie Nelson.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Solan – Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, Indiana. Friends may visit from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.
