JULIA A. URBAN

age 101, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at her residence. She is survived by her children: Patricia Urban, Eileen (late Frank) Simko, Lorraine (late Robert) Polik and Jim Urban; grandchildren: Lisa (Sukh) Oberoi, Andrew (Janna) Polik, Michael (Carol) Simko and Cindy (Chris) Martin; great grandchildren: Nate Oberoi, Erik Polik, Katie Polik and Mitchell Martin; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Louis, grandson Tim Polik, sisters Kate Tyczkowski and Mary Wleklinski, parents Mary and Peter Piotrowski.

Julia was born in East Chicago and lived her whole married life in Hammond. She loved her life, especially caring for her family, her home and being with friends. Her church, dancing and reading were all important in her life.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church 7113 Columbia Ave Hammond with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. At rest Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond. In lieu of flowers donations in Julia's honor may be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
