June R. Shifrin (nee Dolgonos)

Age 99, of Olympia Fields, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

June will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life, and the love she shared with them will forever remain in their hearts. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will continue through the generations.

June is survived by her loving children, Harvey (Sheila) Shifrin, Carol (Walter) Gruchala, Beth (Richard) Limacher, Sharon (Christopher) Rollins, and Susan (Paul) Miller; beloved grandchildren, Brandon (Andrea) Krisztal, Melissa (David) Shaiman, Ben (Megan) Rollins, Kevin Gruchala, Zachary (Kay) Miller, Jordan Rollins, Eric Miller, and Jeremy (David) Miller; and nine precious great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy.

June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip Shifrin; her parents, Harry and Ida Dolgonos; and her sister, Sandra (Al) Sokolow.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Beverly Cemetery, 12000 S. Kedzie Avenue, Blue Island, IL 60406.

Family and friends are invited to attend Shiva on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Congregation Beth Shalom, 772 W. 5th Avenue, Naperville, IL 60563. Shiva Minyan will begin at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in June’s honor to White Sox Charities or The V Foundation.
