Karen D. Keilman (nee Frey)

age 66, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Dyer, IN, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Dale; two daughters: Nikki (Matt) Zlotkowski and Brooke Alfano; grandchildren:  Kayleigh, Brody, Jaysen, and Kennedy; many nieces and nephews; dear friend Sharon Raines; and precious pet Baby. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Bonnie Frey.

Karen was a 1973 graduate of Lake Central High School and was a self-taught accountant. For over 30 years, Karen ran her business "Problem Solvers" and helped over 50 businesses and 700 clients with their taxes. Karen also ran a ceramics shop on the side where she taught classes. She and her husband were active with Schererville softball for 22 years. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and pets and will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed.
