Karen S. Konjevich (nee Rempert)

age 88, of Wheatfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Karen is survived by her loving children: Pam (Donald) Burke, Kathy (Robert) Gachino, and Scott Strazzante; beloved grandchildren: Zachary (Tiffini), Noah, Brittany (Thomas), Danielle (Jayden), Elizabeth, and Cameron; precious great-grandchildren: Vinny, Brooklyn, Cole, Luca, Willow, Spencer, as well as another on the way. Preceded in death by her first husband, Angelo Strazzante; second husband, Eli Konjevich; parents, Arthur and Anita Rempert; and brother, John (Audrey) Rempert.

Karen found joy in gardening, bowling, and traveling. Her life was marked by her strong independent spirit. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN. A Service Celebrating Karen's Life will be held at 6:30 PM with Pastor Doug Hoag officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen's name to Unity Hospice.
