Kathie's strength and resilience inspired everyone who knew her.

Kathie Ann Frazier of Merrillville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026. She was born on January 11, 1953, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Kathie dedicated 38 years of her career as an Executive Office Manager at Geminus. Throughout her career, she took great pride in supporting programs that served the mental health community. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine care for others made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured the time she spent with her beloved husband, Dave. Together they traveled throughout the country, creating cherished memories while camping in Michigan and visiting some of their favorite places including Cedar Lake, Lake Michigan, and the Feast of the Hunter's Moon.

Kathie had a creative spirit and a generous heart. She loved knitting and delighted in collecting specialty yarn from shops wherever her travels took her. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her book club, and found inspiration in the beauty of the Northwest Indiana Symphony. She  loved discovering new restaurants, relaxing in coffee shops, and sharing laughter and friendship with those she loved.

Kathie's strength and resilience inspired everyone who knew her. As a proud member of an amputee support group, she found encouragement through others while offering understanding, hope, and support in return. She faced life's challenges with courage and grace.

Kathie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dave; her nephew, Ryan; and her parents, John and Kathleen.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Karla (Wayne) and Sharon (Doug); her adopted sister, Chris; her nieces, Tianna (Mark) and Andrea; her nephew, Ben; her great-nieces, Kari and Ashlyn; her great-nephews, Conner and Kasen; and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and friendship.

Kathie's gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the lives she touched will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Kathie's Life will be held at a later date
