Kathleen F. Kovan

Age 73, of Highland, IN passed away Thursday August 28, 2014. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberly (Matthew Howden) Switzer; sister, Bonni (Ed) Boilek; nephews, Brian (Michelle) Boilek and David Boilek; great nephews, Brandon and Brett Boilek; great niece, Alexa Boilek; and numerous beloved cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Katherine Kovan; and brother, Steve Kovan.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday September 2, 2014, :00 AM at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave., Highland, IN 46322 with Rev. Keith M. Virus officiating. Kathleen will be laid to rest directly after service at St. John, St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Kathleen graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt, class of 1959. She was the owner of "Kath's Kitchen" of Highland, and member of St. James Catholic Church. She had a passion for cooking, and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
