Kenneth R. DeWolf

Passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018.  Kenneth is survived by loving children, Karen (Ken) Stachelski of Schererville, Ken (Pam) DeWolf of Hammond, Tom (Colleen) DeWolf of Hammond, Carol (Ray) Brosseau of Schererville; and Art March; grandchildren, Tricia, Kevin, Tim (Kari), Ryan, Rachel (Sean), Andrew, Hailey, Samantha and Matthew; great grandchildren, Caine, Jasmine, Lilly, Mia and expecting, Emerson; sister, Beverly (late Charles) Shelby; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen A. DeWolf; sisters, Frances (late Bill) Meyer, Evelyn (late Raymond) Allender and Winnie (late Barney) Mullin; brother, Donald DeWolf.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., (corner of Kennedy and Main St.) Schererville, IN from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Monday, September 24, 2018 DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Consolation, 8303 Taft St, Merrillville, IN 46410 with Rev. Peter J. Muha officiating.  Kenneth will lie in state at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Services will conclude at the church.

Kenneth was a 1949 graduate of Hammond High School.  He was an Army Veteran. He retired from Inland Steel after 40 years of service.  He enjoyed playing cards-poker and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs Fan.  Kenneth was all about his family, and they meant everything to him.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Riley Hospital for Children would be appreciated.
