Kimberly Ann Graves

Age 60, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. Kim is survived by her children: Kelly (Kyle) Rader, Adam (Trista Mount) Johnston, Carrie Graves, Amy (fiancé Ryan Yonkman) Graves and Kevin Graves; grandchildren: Kyle Rader, Rosie-Marie Garcia, Isabelle Rader, Tristan Rader, David Vargas, Adam Johnston, Diego Garcia, Abigail Rader and Chloe Johnston; father Richard Boback; siblings: Denise (late Jim) Wiedemann, Rachelle (Tom) Rechlicz, Eric Boback and Karl (Lori) Boback; dear friend James Edwards; best friend C.J. (John) Akurral and her canine companion Xena.  Kimberly was preceded in death by her husband David Graves, mother Sylvia Boback and aunt Rita Pilch.

Friends may gather with the family to honor Kimberly and celebrate her life on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 6:00 pm with Pastor Rick Sparks leading our prayers.

Kim was an avid (perhaps 'rabid' is more fitting) fan of Elvis, collecting shirts, jewelry, plates etc… she loved "everything Elvis" and would attend the Elvis tribute every winter at the Star Plaza. Her kids will fondly remember the annual trip to the Radisson to sing 'Happy Birthday' to The King.  Kim was employed as a CNA at Munster Med-Inn for nine years until illness forced her retirement. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend Kim's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
