Krista Jade Caine

age 32, of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Krista is survived by loving parents, James A. Caine and Erica Thorner; dear brothers, Doc James (Alyssa) Caine and Nicholas Thorner; longtime love Robert Ratulowski; precious children, Joshua D. Trentz and Andrew Ratulowski; Uncle Herman (late, Sylvia) Caine; Aunt Marie (John) Tiltges; Uncle Doug (Barb) Harris; nephew, James; niece, Haylie; cousins, Emily (Tim), Herman (Maria), Ben Jr., Kali, Johnny, Eian and Ivan; cherished God Daughter, Tessa; extended family Robert Sr. (Sonia) Ratulowski; and many special friends. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman Sr and Marie Caine; and uncles John and Ben Caine.

Krista was a dedicated and loving mother, "the best". She was cherished by her parents, brother, aunt and uncles.  She had no fear and enjoyed swimming and loved horses. Krista will always be remembered as independent, caring and good hearted. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Mass Celebrating Krista's Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2022 DIRECTLY AT St. John Bosco Catholic Church,7113 Columbia Ave, Hammond, IN 46324, with Fr. Jeffrey D. Burton officiating. Krista will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Burial at St. John St. Joseph Cemetery.
