Kristin Finley (nee Nicholson)

Age 77, of Schererville, IN passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. Kristin is survived by her son, Stephen (Melinda) Finley; daughter, Nancy Finley; siblings: Lisa Nicholson, Hillary (Dan) Harp, Gregor (Rosa) Nicholson; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 1 great niece and 1 great nephew.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, John; parents, Frederick and Patricia Nicholson; siblings; Gretchen (still living, Tom Carpenter) Nicholson; Peter (Diane) Nicholson, Eric Nicholson, and Mark (still living, Susan) Nicholson; and her precious dog "Princess".

Kristin graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in communications from Governor's State University. She was a devout member of St. Michael's Church and for over two decades, lent her voice to the church choir. She played a vital role in enhancing the church's artistic and environmental aspects. Her involvement in hospitality initiatives left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. Kristin also taught CCD for many years and served as president and secretary of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, April 5, directly at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1 W. Wilhelm St., Schererville, IN. Burial will be private at Busby Cemetery in Goreville, IL.
