Laurie M. Hamilton

42, of Cedar Lake, IN, after a 42-year battle is now with the Angels. On Friday, January 19, 2018 she was born into eternal life. Laurie is survived by her loving mother Deborah and father, Glenn; sister, April Hamilton; nephew, Connor; aunts, Linda (Paul) McKenzie, Connie (Doug) Johnson; uncle, Fred (Debbie) Hamilton; cousins and special cousin, Kathy (Phil) Duszynski; and devoted caregiver, Inez.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Kennedy Ave. and Main St.), Schererville, IN 46375 from 2:00 PM until 8:00PM.  A Funeral Service will be celebrating her life on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 12:00 noon at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home.  Laurie will be laid to rest directly after at The German Methodist Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

Laurie was a graduate of Lowell High School. She had once worked 15 years at Bridges in Crown Point, IN.  Laurie loved singing Karaoke, going to the Casino Boats, line dancing, bowling, making jewelry, and was an avid Cubs fan.  Her caring soul loved going to funerals to console families.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her kind spirit.
