Lillian “Dolly” R. Salka (nee Brnicky)

age 91, of Hammond, formerly of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Dolly is survived by her beloved children, Steven Salka, Edward Salka, and Nancy Pope; and her loving grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Brnicky and Mary Brnicky (nee Obrincok) and her husband William Salka.

Dolly will Lie in State from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday October, 30, 2026, directly at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Hammond, IN with Father Jeff Burton officiating. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
