Linda H. Dearing

age 77, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Linda is survived by her dear love, Barry Hostetler; best friends, Nancy Kolodziej and Gloria Oehlman; and precious felines, "Squeaky" and "Karissa"

Linda was a 1964 graduate of Gavit High School. She received her Bachelor's in English from Purdue in 1968 and then Master's in English from Purdue. She will be remembered as a wonderful teacher that cared for her students at Morton High School, and then retiring from Eggers Middle School.  Linda was loved by all of her Students while teaching. She enjoyed reading and when she was younger traveling.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Funeral Service Celebrating Linda's Life will be held at 12:00 noon with Pastor Dennis Starkey officiating.  Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
