Linda C. Stoner (nee Lorence)

Crown Point, IN

Passed away Monday, April 3, 2017.  She was born to Patricia and Eugene Lorence on July 29, 1953 in South Bend, IN.   Linda leaves her devoted husband of 39 years, Ron L. Stoner; her sister Kathy (Dave) Balog; stepson, Scott Stoner; nieces and nephews, Allison and Chris Atwater, Dave Whitaker and Sean and Eugene Lorence; sisters in law, Jeanne Lorence and Bonnie (Ed) Sweeny; pet, Louis; and many friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Randy and Eugene Lorence; nephew, Mark Whitaker; and stepson, Ronald Stoner II.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Monday, April 10, 2017 DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Consolation, 8303 Taft St, Merrillville, IN 46410 with Rev. Peter J. Muha officiating.  Linda will lie in state at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Services will conclude at the church, with a private burial at a later date. Friends may visit with the family at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., (corner of Kennedy and Main St.) Schererville, IN on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 4-8 pm and on Sunday April 9, 2017 from 2-6 pm.

Linda graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt High School.  She had worked at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, and Walgreens in Schererville.  Linda was the life of any party and loved to laugh.  She loved a good time, being with friends and family. She enjoyed her home and cooking Polish food. She was a wonderful story teller and was hilarious. Linda was loved by all and will be missed by all.
